From the forms of plainchant, melody was employed for textual illumination; the configurations of audio took their cue through the text. St. Augustine (354–430 ce), who was attracted by music and valued its utility to religion, was scared of its sensuous component and nervous which the melody never acquire precedence about the phrases. These had
